I have done several pictures using the following methods.
Draw a basic picture, 2. Secure pencil drawing, 3 Block in drawing with a paintbrush, Complete painting with a pallet knife. This is the different bit. I usually do the sky first, but on this occasion, I’m going to paint the sky last, as the painting texture will be quiet thick. I will lose the freedom of painting the sky, and water. I intend to put some boats in the foreground not drawn in yet.
I will be using a pallet knife for the sky, and water plus reflections. I have included a pencil drawing.
The painting is on box canvas 30 x 24 ins, and I’m using acrylic paints.
